Uroš Rožič holds the position of Head of Legal at AIPA, the Collecting Society of Authors, Performers, and Film Producers of Audio-visual Works of Slovenia since 2023.
With 25 years of legal expertise he is focused on internal market, copyright laws, entrepreneurship, economic development, foreign investments and taxation. Uroš has over 10 years of profound expertise in IP law consultancy and its practices, specifically in drafting Copyright and Related Rights Laws. He acted as a Drafting Committee Lead on IP Law in the transposition of Directives in the Slovenian legal system. As key expert he participated in the EU support to IPR project, funded by the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He participated in a narrow and broader working group together with IPR experts and drafted the new Law on Collective Management of Copyright and Related Rights and the draft law on amendments to the Law on Copyright and Related Rights. The draft transpositions into Bosnia and Herzegovina’s legal order are based on the following EU Directives: InfoSoc, Rental and Lending, SatCab I and SatCab II, Software, IPRED, Database, Term, Orphan Works, CRM, Marrakech Treaty and DSM.
